The fifth chakra is the throat chakra and is referred to as Vishudda in early Sanskrit. It is at a point in the middle of the throat. The chakra makes it possible for the energy to flow in and out of this point at the center of the throat and in addition out of a matching position at the rear of the neck although the energy from the back is a little lower in intensity.
This chakra is connected with communication, language and expression. The throat chakra represents a willingness to communicate harmoniously what is within oneself to other people and the use of that energy in a creative way.
If you have this chakra completely open then you might find it simple to communicate with others and you will find that words will come easily..With this chakra blocked then throat difficulties in general can arise together with loss of voice, neck problems and sometimes shoulder problems as well.
Turquoise blue is the fundamental color connected with this chakra. {Its element is the ether and the associated metal is MercuryThe metal is Mercury and its associated element is ether}. Turquoise is the stone that is connected with this chakra. This gemstone has the blue of the sky and the heavens along with the green of the earth combining the spiritual with the grounded power of the planet itself. That is the fundamental idea around this chakra. Turquoise can help you to express yourself and bring spiritual knowledge into your everyday life. This can help with communication with other people and as well with spiritual and psychic communication.
Artistic talent can be easily developed and a general elevated spirituality can be enjoyed when the throat chakra is balanced. The psychological elements of the throat chakra when it is out of balance can be obsession, repression of speech, creative blocks and not being able to express yourself.
You can picture a sphere of turquoise light around the chakra whilst listening to meditation music in the key of A so as to balance this chakra yourself. Visualize whilst you meditate that there is a blue lotus flower with 16 petals gradually opening and rotating as your chakra becomes unblocked. The Sanskrit mandala for this chakra depicts this very same turquoise lotus flower.
